Vulcano
Vulcano, its
ancient name Hiera (meaning sacred) is a most interesting
island due to its volcanic and post-volcanic phenomena. There
you can swim from the fine black sandy beach, take your own
cure in the natural volcanic mud pool, or you can ease your
aches and pains in the sea, where hot volcanic gasses force
their way to the surface heating the sea in the process.
