DAY 1 SATURDAY – Catania
Arrival at hotel in Catania. Welcome cocktail, dinner and overnight in Catania.
DAY 2 SUNDAY – Siracusa - Ragusa
After a buffet breakfast depart for Siracusa, visit the archaeological area including the Latomie of the Paradise and the Dyionisos "Ear". Continue to the island of Ortigia, the baroque historical centre of the city to visit the Cathedral and the Arethuse fountain. Lunch at leisure. Depart for Ragusa a city divided in 2 after the earthquake of 1693. Visit the historical centre of Ibla with its stunning baroque palaces and churches. Together with seven other cities in the Val di Noto Ragusa is listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Tasting of typical Sicilian products on the way. Dinner and overnight in Ragusa.
DAY 3 MONDAY – Caltagirone - Piazza Armerina - Agrigento
After a buffet breakfast depart for Caltagirone, a small town in the inland of Sicily declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its production of Sicilian ceramics and terracotta. After a panoramic visit with time fro shopping continue to Piazza Armerina to visit the famous mosaics at Villa Romana del Casale (another UNESCO World Heritage Site) Lunch in a local restaurant with a menu chosen to sample local specialities. Depart for Agrigento and visit the breathtaking Valley of the Temples (UNESCO World Heritage Site) for a guided tour of temples Concordia, Juno, Zeus and Heracles. Dinner and overnight in Agrigento.
DAY 4 TUESDAY – Palermo - Monreale
After a buffet breakfast depart for Monreale to visit the Cathedral with its Moorish architecture housing very fine mosaics representing a complete cycle of the Old and New Testaments and the Benedictine Cloister in Arab-Norman style. Lunch at leisure. Afternoon visit of the historical centre of Palermo including the Cathedral, Palatine Chapel and Royal Palace. Dinner and overnight in Palermo.
DAY 5 WEDNESDAY – Palermo - Monreale
After a buffet breakfast end of tour.

DAY 1 TUESDAY – Palermo
Arrival at hotel in Palermo. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 2 WEDNESDAY – Segesta - Erice - Trapani
After a buffet breakfast depart for Segesta to visit the magnificent Doric Temple, 430 BC to 430 BC and Greco-Roman Theatre (one of the best preserved Greek architectural sites) amid stunning countryside. Continue to the medieval hill-top village of Erice with a stroll throught its tiny characteristic streets overlooking Trapani and the Egadi Islands. Lunch at leisure. Then down to Trapani for a panoramic tour of the working salt mills. Return to Palermo for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3 THURSDAY – Cefalu - Nebrodi Park - Taormina
After a buffet breakfast depart for Cefalu a former fishing village, now a charming coastal resort with its imposing Arab Norman Cathedral. Stroll through the ancient narrow street and see the medieval wash-house built in the rock. Continue to the park of Nebrodi stopping for lunch at the Miraglia Forest with a typical menu then on to Cesaro, Randazzo and visit the Etna park from the North side. On to Taormina for dinner and overnight.
DAY 4 FRIDAY – Taormina - Optional excursion to Mt. Etna
After a buffet breakfast morning either at leisure to explore this elegant resort with its splendid Roman-Greek Theatre or possible optional excursion to Mt. Etna (numbers and weather permitting) climbing to a height of 1800 metres. Visit the Sylvester craters where you can enjoy a spectacular view over the Ionian sea (supplment payable on the spot). Lunch at leisure. Return to Taormina with time free to stroll along the Corso Umberto enjoying the wonderful array of cafes, pastry shops and smart boutiques or visit the delightful hill-top village of Castelmola perched above Taormina. Return to the hotel for farewell dinner and overnight.
