Meeting point at Piazza Politeama at 8.00 am (in front of the Politeama Palace Hotel) and depart to Monreale to admire the Cathedral with its splendid 12th Century mosaics that represent scenes from the Old and New Testaments all in golden mosaics and the cloister of the Benedictines monastery with Moorish architecture.

Back to Palermo, for a visit of the Capital of Sicily, one of the richest towns in the island for history and art: the Cathedral, the "Palatina" Chapel, and also enjoy a panoramic tour of the town (the "Quattro Canti", the Opera House, the Pretoria Square).

Meeting point at Politeama Square (in front of the Politeama Palace Hotel) at 2.15 pm and depart to Monte Pellegrino, the most famous mountain in Palermo, to arrive at the shrine of Santa Rosalia, the patron saint of the city; from the viewpoint enjoy a breath taking panorama of the Conca d'Oro.

Visit the Catacombs of Cappuccini, a haunting experience, where in a maze of corridors are held about 8,000 bodies, embalmed and more or less well preserved.

End the afternoon with a walk to the discover of one of the most colorful historical markets of Palermo: "The Capo Market" immersed in an explosion of vegetables, and fruits.

Meeting point at Piazza Politeama at 8.15 am (in front of the Politeama Palace Hotel), and depart to Segesta to visit the unfinished Doric temple, late 5th century BC, which keeps in its stones the weight of a long history, surrounded by a unique landscape.

Continue to Erice, placed on the top of a hill overlooking the city of Trapani and the Egadi Islands. The Elymians settled the medieval town of Erice, which was an important religious site associated with the goddess Venus. Wander through its ancient streets and visit some of the famous homemade pastry shops - world-famous for marzipan candies and other delicacies like almond and pistachio pastries: walk through its tiny and characteristic streets. Lunch on your own.

Down to Trapani, we travel through the Saltpans to see the historic salt flats works, where the ancient tradition of harvesting salt from the sea is still practiced. Return to Palermo.
