Guided tour of the town.

The name of the town comes from the arcaic sicilian name "Murika", letterally meaning "stone", it indicates the rocky land where the town has been built, according to other sources the name comes from the fenicians, calling it "Mutika" to indicates a welcoming and protected place.

The historic center of Modica extends upwards along a promontory, the traditional houses built one above the other, along steps and lanes make the whole town very charming. We will visit the Cathedral of St. George and the Church of San Pietro.

During the visit there will be a sweet break to taste the famous chocolate of Modica.

Walk through the historic center of the city to discover the beauty of Catania. The main street via Etnea, cuts the center in two; you can admire the baroque Crociferi Street, the Cathedral Square with the Elephant (called "Liotru"), made of volcanic lava stone symbol of the city, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Opera House Vincenzo Bellini, and the University. During the walk stop to taste the typical Sicilian cannoli with ricotta.

One day with the Lady where She will show you some typical seasonal vegetables, fruits and Mediterranean fish. You will also taste some Sicilian cheeses and savour excellent oil. She will then take you to her home and explain, with her passion and love for food, how to cook some dishes of our region with you cooking along with her.

The atmosphere is informal and embraced by a typically Sicilian hospitality. You will then savour what you have prepared, starting from the aperitiv and followed by lunch (beverages included).
